Wishcasting Wednesday - Soar

I took a peak at the Wishcasting question today, and turned the other way. For some reason I am more vulnerable sharing my wishes and dreams for the future, than sharing the challenges and misadventures of my past. I gave it some more thought and returned to it, deciding to push on.

How do I wish to soar?

The biggest thing on my mind right now is the New Year. The new term. The return to school and work land. I wish to soar in my classes. I wish to always feel afloat, aloft. I wish to avoid the feeling of being weighted down, dragged under, overwhelmed. I wish for balance. I wish to maintain my creative endeavours and exploration, and good grades. I wish to find work that will be flexible, and support the energy needed to absorb new learning. I wish to be excited, inspired, successful.

I find that exposing or admitting what your wish for, hope for, aspire, is often times harder to do because it shows our vulnerability to failure. No one wants to say you hope to do something or will do something, only to have it fall apart before your eyes. And you're left with feelings of embarassment. It's easier to talk about something in our lives that has already happened. -At least, that's how it is with me. I also have trouble verbalizing to others what I'm hopeful for or aspire, or long for. What if it doesn't come true???

-Good post! You've awakened some thoughts that had been laying dormant in my mind! Thanks for that! :)

I enjoyed visiting your blog and reading about both your wish and your resistance to it.

I think it is true that we sometimes feel uncomfortable inagining the future and yes it is easier thinking in the other direction. As you wish for yourself so I wish for you also

As you wish, I wish for you also. I, too, wanted to resist this one...thanks for posting.

Lynna-g & Shari - perhaps that's the real beauty of Wishcasting Wednesday. I mean, it's awesome that others are adding to our wishing energy, but maybe it's more about having a place to say things Out Loud!

Yvonne - maybe a weekly, out there and shared, wish will help you get more comfortable too? jamieridlerstudios.ca
